Before and After the Cosmic Blessing

  • To participate in the Cosmic Blessing, all candidates must complete their Blessing qualifications and register for the Blessing in their own region. Only qualified candidates who receive confirmation by BFD EUME can participate in the Blessing Ceremony.

    The candidates will be asked to prepare an attire for the Blessing Day, details will follow with the official memo. To give a short overview of items that will be needed:

    • Dark suit for men, white dress for women

    • Bow tie for men (please wait for the specific color)

    • Blessing ring

    • White gloves, bouquet

  • BOB is an online programme designed by BFD EUME to support all matched and newly blessed couples in the months before and after the Blessing.

    We hold regular webinars for the matched and newly blessed couples with some spiritual guidance and group sharing afterwards. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other matched and newly blessed couples from all over our EUME region.

  • It is a tradition established by True Parents that all Blessed Couples receive a trinity after their Blessing.

    A Trinity consists of 3 couples (trinity) from the same Blessing group. The couples in the same trinity make the effort to keep in contact after the Blessing to care for and support each other.

  • After receiving the Cosmic Blessing, it is tradition that all couples fulfil a 40-day separation period.

    This will give the couple dedicated time to connect their relationship to God and build up trust and love for each other, as they prepare to develop their relationship as husband and wife. During this precious time, we recommend to offer spiritual conditions together as a couple and to consciously invite Heavenly Parent into the relationship.

    The Blessed Couples will receive the trinities after the Blessing day and have the chance to meet up online weekly during the 40 days as a trinity, to get to know each other and share more deeply about certain topics.

    BFD EUME has developed the "Newly Blessed Couples Course" that the trinities can go through in the first 40 days.

  • This seminar is designed for newly blessed couples. It offers guidance and testimonies from Blessed Couples about how to start an intimate romantic relationship as husband and wife and with God, our Heavenly Parent, at the center.
    It is very important to prepare well for this rather than to just let it happen casually, and to start the first relationship as a couple together with God.

    First generation candidates will also go through a special ceremony called the 3-day ceremony. These couples will receive guidance about the ceremony during the seminar or in a private talk with their BFD representative, depending on the situation.
